Emergency Closure

Sir William Romney's uses the Message Line 247 service to provide a central point of up to date information for parents. Message Line 247 is like a giant answering machine with hundreds of phone lines and callers can check the latest messages at any time.  Repeat calls from the same phone are put straight through to our Message line without needing to re-enter details, making it very quick to check for updates.

Please note that any decision to close the school normally takes place between 7.30am and 8.00am. This is due to the complex nature of our catchment area and our ability to ensure adequate staffing is available.

Calls to this number from BT lines are charged at 10 pence per minute.  Rates on other networks may vary.  Typical time to retrieve a message is 30 to 40 seconds, and 10 seconds if the message has not changed since the last time you called.
